MASCARO WINS TWO CONTRACTS TOTALING $5.1 MILLION TO SERVE COMMUNITIES IN LACKAWANNA COUNTY
J. P. Mascaro & Sons, local waste and recycling company has been awarded a pair of five-year contracts to service two communities in Lackawanna County. MASCARO WINS $10.5 MILLION CONTRACT TO SERVE SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY
On December, 3, 2008, J.P. Mascaro & Sons was awarded a 5 year, $10.5 million contract to provide waste collection, recycling and disposal services for approximately 6,800 homes in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.The newly awarded contract runs from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2013, and there is a possibility of 5 additional option years upon agreement of the parties.  The contract will be performed out of Mascaro’s Allentown area operating division that serves municipalities and customers in the Lehigh Valley region. more »

MASCARO WINS $1.5 MILLION CONTRACT TO SERVE ALBURTIS BOROUGH, LEHIGH COUNTY

Pioneer Crossing renewable energy project commissioned by Green Gas
Green Gas Americas Inc., a subsidiary of Green Gas International B.V., announces that its USA based gas-to-energy project became operational on 6 October 2008. The Green Gas Pioneer Crossing Energy project has a 6.4 megawatt (MW) capacity power facility and the current operating permits allow an estimated 50 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy to be generated annually. The project is located at the Pioneer Crossing landfill of J. P. Mascaro & Sons (“Mascaro”), in Exeter Township, Pennsylvania, USA. more »

J. P. MASCARO & SONS WINS SLUDGE HAULING CONTRACT VALUED AT $4.5 TO 7.5 MILLION DOLLAR
On July 29, 2008 local solid waste removal company, J. P. Mascaro & Sons, was awarded a bio-solids management contract worth  $4.5 to $7.5 million dollars. The contract awarded by city council will service the wastewater treatment plant located in Reading, Pennsylvania, for a 3 to 5 year period. Mascaro will be responsible for transportation and disposal of all the sludge generated by the city’s wastewater treatment plant, disposal will take place at Mascaro’s Pioneer Crossing landfill located in Exeter Township. more »

Mascaro hosts 2nd Annual award ceremony to honor 10 students that participated in The Respect Program Poster Contest.
Local waste company, J. P. Mascaro & Sons, are taking their commitment to The Respect Program and to the children in the community very seriously. The Respect Program has reached out to 25,000 students with presentations in schools, camps, and kids’ fairs, the company also sponsored a poster contest to spark interest in students outside of the classroom. In the 2007-2008 season The Respect Program received about 100 entries to their Poster contest. more »

J. P. Mascaro & Sons has won a municipal contract valued at $2.3 million to serve the trash removal needs of the community of Old Forge, Pennsylvania. Mascaro will provide weekly trash collection for approximately 3,000 households. The Mascaro’s local Nanticoke Division will serve the new contract. more »

A local solid waste removal company, J. P. Mascaro & Sons, was awarded a sludge-hauling contract worth about $1.8 million dollars. The contract, awarded by Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority will service the wastewater treatment plant located in Camden, New Jersey.
