Front loader
Front load trucks are the work horses of commercial and institutional solid waste collection. They are used for to collect both trash and recyclables (separate trucks) from businesses and can handle containers from two to eight cubic yards.
Rear load trucks are used in residential trash collection. The model shown here is a compact 25 cubic yard capacity truck design for city collection routes. Larger capacity trucks are used in rural and low density suburban areas.
Mascaro designed its own residential recycling trucks and has them custom built. The bodies are removable from the roll-off chassis for ease of repair and cleaning. Many of the trucks feature dual controls that allow the driver to operate from the curb side for safer and easier collection.
Open top containers are commonly used at construction sites and also in large industrial applications. Container sizes vary from 10 cubic yards (enough for a roof replacement on a house) to the large 40 cubic yard size shown here.
Compactors are commonly used by large retailers and manufacturers. The waste is compressed into a large pressure-resistant container. A roll-off truck delivers an empty container and removes the full one.
