MASCARO WINS CONTRACT VALUED AT $1.1 MILLION TO SERVE WEST POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP
Local solid waste and recycling company, J.P. Mascaro & Sons has been awarded a new contract to service West Pottsgrove Township. The contract starts on July 1st and covers removal of waste and recyclables for all residents at cost of 1.1 million on a three-year basis. Residents should follow new instructions because the collection days will change from Thursdays to Wednesdays. Mascaro will also be billing the residents directly starting July 1st. This new service is provided by Mascaro's Berks County division, which employs about 100 personnel. This facility is the base operation for 50 collection vehicles, which serve four counties, such as, Berks, Chester, Montgomery and Schuylkill counties, which all benefit from well-organized daily collection services.
The J. P. Mascaro & Sons Company possesses a strategic infrastructure of recycling, transfer, and disposal facilities in the local region that has enabled them to be the major provider of municipal services in the area.
