J. P. MASCARO & SONS WINS 10 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT FOR PALMER TOWNSHIP, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY
Supervisors unanimously agreed Tuesday to award a five-year trash-hauling contract to J.P. Mascaro & Sons. The contract valued at $10 million dollars will serve the trash removal and recycling needs of 7,000 households in Palmer Township, Northampton county, commencing May 2, 2007. The contract will be served by Mascaro’s local Allentown Division. J.P. Mascaro's sales director, Sam Augustine said, "We provide a high level of customer service, a key reason why we continue to be successful in the market place”.
J. P. Mascaro & Sons company, founded and headquartered in Lower Providence Township, is the largest privately owned waste company in the Northeast. The company was founded by Joseph P. Mascaro, Sr. and is operated by his five sons. The company today has the benefit of an emerging third generation of family members to guide the company into the future.
The Mascaro Company possesses a strategic infrastructure of recycling, transfer, compost and disposal facilities in the local region that has enabled them to be the major provider of municipal services in the area.
