MASCARO WINS CONTRACT VALUED AT $2.7 MILLION TO SERVE CLARKS SUMMIT IN LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Solid waste and recycling company, J.P. Mascaro & Sons has been awarded a contract to service Clarks Summit Borough in Lackawanna County. The contract covers removal of waste and recyclables for all residents at cost of $2.7 million on up to a five-year basis. The new service will allow residents to sort cardboard materials along with newspaper starting in March in addition to other recyclables.

This new contract will be serviced by J.P. Mascaro's Wyoming Valley division, which employs about 120 personnel. This facility is the base operation for 50 collection vehicles, which serve seven counties, such as Carbon, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Monroe, Columbia, Wayne, and Pike counties. Thirty-nine local municipalities, along with ten school districts benefit from well-organized daily collection services.
