DEP Issues 10 Year Permit for Mascaro’s LVR Transfer Station
According to company President, Pat Mascaro, permitted waste transfer stations are an integral part of the infrastructure that enables J.P. Mascaro & Sons to provide quality service to its many residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers.
In that regard, there is good news for the company. The Mascaro-related Lehigh Valley Recycling Transfer Station in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, just received a 10 year permit from DEP to transfer up to 4,200 tons of municipal and residual waste per day at the facility. “We are extremely pleased to receive a DEP permit for the LVR Transfer Station and we understand fully our obligations under that permit and the law”, said Mascaro.
Commenting on the permit issuance, company Director of Environmental Compliance, J.P. Mascaro, III said, “As a solid waste facility Permittee, our company is mindful and respectful of its obligation to the environment. In fact, our company’s highest priority goal is ‘100% environmental compliance’, not only at the LVR facility, but also at our other DEP permitted transfer stations, landfills and compost facilities.” Mascaro added, “Environmental compliance and customer satisfaction go hand in hand.”
In Pennsylvania, Mascaro now has three transfer stations, two landfills and two compost facilities permitted by DEP to go along with its three recycling centers and six operating divisions. Together, this hub of facilities and divisions assures that Mascaro’s Pennsylvania customers receive the highest level of service.
Founded and headquartered in Montgomery County, PA by Joseph P. Mascaro, Sr. and continued by his five sons, the company now has a growing number of third generation family members to guide the business in the future.
