MASCARO AWARDED $3.5 MIL IN NEW BUSINESS IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2011
Local waste service hauler, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, is experiencing growth in the municipality contract sector of its business. In the first quarter of 2011, two Pennsylvania municipalities awarded Mascaro community-wide waste collection and recycling contracts valued at approximately $3.5 million. Among the communities awarding to Mascaro are the Borough of Media, in Delaware County, and Plainfield Township in Lehigh County. Media Borough Council voted unanimously to award a five-year recycling collection contract to Mascaro. Plainfield Township officials awarded another five-year contract for both solid waste and recycling collection.
Mascaro, headquartered in Audubon, has contracts with municipalities throughout the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley and Wyoming Valley regions of Pennsylvania. The privately owned, family firm has the infrastructural resources that make it a major and growing supplier of waste services to area municipalities. With the recent trend of municipalities contracting with a single hauler and switching to single stream-recycling collection to heighten recycling for the entire community, Mascaro is looking forward to and anticipating continued growth in this sector of its business.
J. P. Mascaro & Sons serves thousands of customers in the municipal, commercial, institutional and industrial sectors and it has the resources, expertise, and facility infra-structure to meet the varying needs of all its customers.
