MASCARO AWARDED $18.9 MILLION IN NEW BUSINESS IN THE LAST QUARTER OF 2010
Local waste service provider, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, is experiencing record growth in the municipality contract sector of its business. In the last quarter of 2010, 11 Pennsylvania municipalities awarded Mascaro community-wide waste collection and recycling contracts valued at almost $18.9 million. Among the local communities awarding to Mascaro were the Boroughs of Jenkintown, Morrisville, Ridley Park, Wyomissing, Vandling, Harveys Lake and the Municipality of Norristown as well as Maiden Creek, and Bern Townships, the City of Carbondale and Indian Mountain Lake, a private resort community in the Pocono Mountains.
Mascaro, headquartered in Audubon, has contracts with municipalities throughout the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley and Wyoming Valley regions of Pennsylvania. The privately owned, family firm has the infrastructural resources that make it a major and growing supplier of waste services to area municipalities. With the recent trend of municipalities contracting with a single hauler and switching to single stream-recycling collection to heighten recycling for the entire community, Mascaro is looking forward to and anticipating continued growth in this sector of its business.
